The Consulting Member category has proved very successful as a mechanism for expanding the expertise and techniques available to CURE members. Consulting members are not primarily involved in gastrointestinal research, but represent some of the breadth and depth of research at UCLA. Each has agreed to participate in the activities in the Center in their areas of expertise. As consulting members, they are available for one-to-one consultation to Center members, give lectures at CURE meetings, and are available for assisting in training fellows. They also play a vital role in reviewing Pilot and Feasibility study proposals.
