Research carried out by CURE members and associate members can be categorized in five categories:

• Gastroduodenal mucosal physiology and disease
• Intestinal transport, intestinal inflammation, nutrition, and pancreatic secretion
• Neurophysiology and neuroenteric disease
• Hormones, receptors, and signal transduction
