Steven-Huy Han, MD, AGAF

Associate Professor, Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Division of Digestive Diseases, Division of Liver and Pancreas Transplantation, Department of Medicine and Surgery, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

Dr. Han is the director of the Hepatology Clinical Research Center. His research interests have focused on the treatment of chronic viral hepatitis, the prevention of recurrent viral hepatitis after liver transplantation and the treatment of fulminant liver failure. He is the principal investigator on multiple clinical studies involving treatment of chronic hepatitis B and C and acute liver failure. Hepatitis B exhibit no symptoms, but if untreated, the virus causes cirrhosis of the liver, liver failure and eventually liver cancer.
